These terms govern your use of VCE Practice, an online study service provided by Yochen Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), an Australian company (ABN 28 689 854 793). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a student who is a minor, you do so as their parent or guardian.
What VCE Practice is
VCE Practice provides exam-style practice questions, an AI study tutor, automated answer checking, and progress tracking for VCE subjects. It is a study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), and using it does not guarantee any particular result, mark, or ATAR.
Eligibility and accounts
VCE Practice is for students aged 15 or over, typically in Years 11–12. A student may create their own account and use the free sample (the first few questions in each subject) without a subscription.
Paid access is held by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. They hold the paying account, add their student, and are responsible for the account and the subscription. Students never enter payment details. Parent accounts are reviewed by us before approval.
We may decline or later suspend any account at our reasonable discretion (for example, for breach of these terms). You agree to give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and not share your account.
Subscriptions and payment
- The free sample (the first few questions in each subject) needs no subscription and no card. Access to the full question bank is by paid subscription: the base plan is AUD $19.99 per month per student (GST included), billed to the parent.
- An optional upgrade of a further AUD $19.99 per month per student removes the standard daily time limit (unlimited access).
- Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- We may change our prices. We will give reasonable notice before a change applies to your next billing period.
GST and tax invoices
Yochen Pty Ltd is registered for Australian GST(ABN 28 689 854 793). The prices shown are GST-inclusive — AUD $19.99 is the total amount you pay, and $1.82 of each $19.99 is GST. We do not add anything on top of the listed price. Because we are registered, a tax invoice showing our ABN and the GST amount is available for every payment — from the billing portal, or on request at support@yochen.com.au.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again after that. Because subscriptions are billed in advance, we do not generally provide pro-rata refunds for a partly used month, except where required by law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law — if the service is faulty or not as described, you may be entitled to a remedy, including a refund. To cancel or request a refund, use the billing controls in your account or email us.
Acceptable use and academic integrity
VCE Practice is for genuine personal study by the enrolled student. You must not resell or share access, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to breach your school’s or the VCAA’s rules — for example, to complete a School-Assessed Coursework task, exam, or other assessment that must be your own unaided work. The AI tutor is a learning aid to help you understand, not a tool to obtain answers for assessed work.
The AI tutor and answer checking
The AI tutor and automated checking can make mistakes and may occasionally be incorrect or incomplete. They do not replace your teacher or professional advice. Always check important results yourself, and rely on your school and the VCAA for authoritative guidance.
Our content and your licence
The question bank, software, and the “Yochen” and “VCE Practice” names are owned by Yochen Pty Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal study while your subscription is active. You must not copy, redistribute, or publish our questions or content.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties beyond those the law requires. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where we are permitted to limit our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the section above, Yochen Pty Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the “Last updated” date, and notify account holders of material changes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
